What is Emotional Release work?
| | | | | | | | | |
In the Process we work with the following emotions: |
Resentment/Control |
Fear |
Need for Approval |
Suppressed Anger |
Shame |
Sadness/Despair |
Judgment/Guilt |
Burden |
Envy/Jealousy |
Out of Control |
Self Image |
Frustration |
Overwhelm/Confusion |
Through Muscle Response Testing (MRT) we can identify emotional conflict whereby the facilitator can assist the client in speaking out feelings and releasing the various emotions associated with the conflict through a variety of trained methods...
Each of these emotional points sit in a specific area of the body that is part of the 7 Chakras. Each Chakra is identified by a name and color and certain organs are associated with each Chakra. Yoga is a practice of keeping the Chakras open thereby affording the associated organs positive good health. It is understood that our health is directly related to our emotional state and that emotional release work will actually improve and prevent unwanted illness.
Western Medicine is recognizing the importance of treating clients not only in body but also in mind and spirit. Brenda Davies M.D. in her book "The 7 Healing Chakras" said, "I use to keep my spiritual healing practice entirely separate from my medical work, avoiding the derision of my peers and the disapproval of the medical profession in general. But, through personal experience, I've seen the spiritual healing is an essential and effective tool in the treatment of my patients, and over the last ten years I've come out of the closet, as it were, I have successfully combined all three disciplines. I believe that to achieve positive good health - and that's what I'm committed to doing - we must treat body, mind and spirit. Healing the spirit offers both me and my patients an extra dimension. The body cannot be healed while there remains an unquiet mind, the mind cannot be well if there's emotional turmoil, and nothing can be whole unless the spirit is also considered."
Our body remembers everything it has ever tasted, everything it has ever read or heard, everything it has ever felt. It is stored away like a computer stores away all of its information. We are the greatest computer ever created. Today is a reflection on our stored yesterdays. Pam Robinson author of the "Bright Red Bow" explains it in this manner, "As babies, we all have the innate ability to trust and share love with others. However, as we grow, we all experience pain and discomfort, feelings we want to avoid. In moments of pain we may decide to protect our heats; we may actually build walls or even shut down our hearts and turn off our feelings. Each man, woman, and child is free to choose to keep the heart open in spite of pain and fear or to close the heart. In an effort to stay safe, most of us choose to close our hearts and keep our love, gifts, and talents mostly locked inside. Most of us do not recognize other options for surviving emotionally."
Each of us has a choice about our feelings. Life can be hard and very cruel and we can feel that we have become a prisoner to the miserable things of life. We may not see that we are the ones choosing to stay in misery. There is a way to freedom! I believe through emotional processing there is a path to healing the heart through releasing hate and judgment and a way to move into forgiveness of others and more importantly ourselves. The Process can bring clarity to challenges we face everyday that leave us confused and wanting. It can bring joy, peace, and personal power and a better way of living life.
